Green waste is a diverse mixture of biomass mainly generated through site clearing and landscape maintenance in inhabited areas, which requires appropriate management to address sustainability concerns. However, the recycling potential technological applicability green remain poorly understood possibly due limited knowledge its complicated generation composition characteristics. This review provides comprehensive overview scope, generation, characteristics, mainstream technologies waste. Based on our synthesis, average annual around 47 kg/person, but differences performance vary between countries. The related space area, radiation, rainfall. In light characteristics nutrient lignocellulose contents, separately (grass leaves) brown parts (branches) identified as promising approach. From both environmental economic perspectives, part suitable for energy recovery, while composting nutrients recovery more preferred part. study highlights that proper combination would turn into valuable resource, help move towards resource-efficient circular economy future challenges. • We current research technologies. per capita kg at global scale. Separate collection are recommended.

This study investigated the effects of inoculating thermophilic and mature composts on maturity, gaseous emissions, bacterial communities during co-composting kitchen waste pig manure. Results showed that temperature peaked day 4 inoculation compost amendment, which was earlier than control treatment 8. In particular, GI inoculated higher (88.65%) other treatments (GI≤61%) 35. The addition promoted enrichment Bacillus Planifilum, accelerated organic matter degradation, enhanced maturity. Inoculation with reduced CH4 emissions by 50.66%, owing to methane-oxidizing bacteria (norank_f_Methylococcaceae). Furthermore, decreased NH3 36.16% through physical absorption microbial activity (reducing NH4+ production). amendment increased N2O denitrification nitrate reduction function. Overall, composting process improved whereas more effective in reducing
