Climate actions (SDG-13) aim at limiting global warming by targeting carbon emissions reduction. With the energy industry recognized as a significant CO2 emitter, SDG-13 policies mostly translate into transition to renewables (SDG-7) and electrification of end-users, both energy-demanding sectors society (cities, households, mobility). The double-layered parallel classical "cascade control" employed in industrial sectors. For achieving deep decarbonization – ambitious Net-Zero Emissions (NZE), large-scale deployment demand storage, with hydrogen prominent chemical storage alternative, Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) for hard-to-electrify Infrastructure developments need policy capital investments, geopolitics resource availability challenge offer opportunities. Since have multiple realization paths impact metabolism, SDGs are interconnected synergies trade-offs. Prioritization policymakers is necessary resilience robustness climate goals within systems dynamics approach. Abstract Microwave (MW) heating has gained significant attention in food industries and biomass-to-biofuels through pyrolysis over conventional heating. However, constraints for promoting MW related to the use of different absorbers are still a major concern that needs be investigated. The present study was conducted explore performance biochar as low-cost absorber performing pyrolysis. Experiments were performed on under dosing (25 g, 37.5 50 g), power (400 W, 700 1000 W), particle sizes (6 mm, 8 10 mm). Results showed significantly impacted average rate (AHR) from 17.5 65.4 °C/min at 400 W g. AHR first increased, then no changes obtained, examined by full factorial design, with 94.6% fitting actual data predicted data. model suggested size influenced less AHR. Furthermore, microwave absorption efficiency weight loss investigated, decreased which means 17.16% achieved rather than W. Biochar estimated employing mass-balance analysis, 2–10.4% change obtained owing higher rates powers dosing.

Rice straw (RS) is a rich lignocellulosic biomass that can be employed for biogas generation through anaerobic digestion. However, lignin-silica encrustation around the holocellulose complex hinders its digestibility. Therefore, in this present study, RS was biologically pretreated with microbial consortium of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU decomposer), which composed Bacillus sp., Delftia Pseudomonas Lysinibacillus fusiform, Arthrobacter nicotianae, Paenibaccilus ehimensis, Aspergillus sp. and Trichoderma Bio-digested slurry, underutilized spent waste from cattle dung-based plants used as growth medium mass multiplication consortium. The interspecies electron transfer (IET) between microbes and archaea is the key to how anaerobic digestion process performs. However, renewable energy technology that utilizes application of a bioelectrochemical system together with additives such as magnetite-nanoparticles can promote both direct (DIET) well indirect (IIET). This has several advantages, including higher removal toxic pollutants present in municipal wastewater, biomass conversion, greater electrochemical efficiencies. review explores synergistic influence systems on complex substrates sewage sludge. discussions mechanisms limitations conventional process.
