This study offers a review of machine learning (ML) applications in membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems, an emerging technology advanced wastewater treatment. The focuses on implementing ML algorithms to enhance the prediction fouling, control and optimize system, predict faults early, thereby enabling development novel cleaning strategies. Key such as artificial neural networks (ANNs), support vector machines (SVMs), random forest, reinforcement (RL) are briefly introduced, with emphasis their potential limitations applications. main challenges obstructing implementation, namely data quality, interpretability, transferability ML, identified. Finally, future research trends proposed, including integration big data, Internet Things (IoT), hybrid model development. also underscores need for interdisciplinary collaboration investment management, along implementation new policies addressing privacy security. By these challenges, into MBRs has significantly performance reduce energy footprint, providing sustainable solution

This study describes the valorization of avocado seed (AS) within a green biorefinery concept using microwave-assisted autohydrolysis. After treatment at temperatures 150-230 °C for 5 min, resulting solid and liquor were characterized. The temperature 220 led to simultaneous optimal values antioxidant phenolics/flavonoids (42.15 mg GAE/g AS, 31.89 RE/g respectively) glucose + glucooligosaccharides (38.82 g/L) in liquor. Extraction with ethyl acetate allowed recovery bioactive compounds while maintaining polysaccharides extract was rich vanillin (99.02 mg/g AS) contained several phenolic acids flavonoids. phase phenolic-free subjected enzymatic hydrolysis produce glucose, reaching 9.93 105 g glucose/L, respectively. work demonstrates that autohydrolysis is promising technology obtain fermentable sugars from seeds following scheme.

Therefore, investigations of the impacts persistent organic pollutants (POPs) heavy metals on riverine fish health, water quality, biotic integrity critical. We examined effects 52 POPs health land use, based monitoring assemblages river quality 2007 2014. Among chemical species, 35 were present in tissues, including eight metals. The concentrations these 12 species presented. Most either undetected or at negligible levels although a few polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) organochlorine pesticides (OCPs; dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethanes heptachlor epoxide) detected above screening values (SVs). Agricultural cover showed an association with endosulfan II (R2 = 0.50, r 0.70), followed by alachlor 0.43, 0.66). For PAHs, all substances significant relationships forest cover. Ecological assessment revealed that sites poor condition, indicating direct pollutants. Recent advances in machine learning (ML) have revolutionized an extensive range of research and industry fields by successfully addressing intricate problems that cannot be resolved with conventional approaches. However, low interpretability incompatibility make it challenging to apply ML complicated bioprocesses, which rely on the delicate metabolic interplay among living cells. This overview attempts delineate applications bioprocess from different perspectives, their inherent limitations (i.e., uncertainties prediction) were then discussed unique supplement models. A clear classification can made depending purpose (supervised vs unsupervised) per application, as well system boundaries (engineered natural). Although a limited number hybrid approaches meaningful outcomes (e.g., improved accuracy) are available, there is still need further enhance interpretability, compatibility, user-friendliness
