Abstract Organic bioelectronic sensors are gaining momentum as they can combine high‐performance sensing level with flexible large‐area processable materials. This opens to potentially highly powerful systems for point‐of‐care health monitoring and diagnostics at low cost. Prominent detect biochemical recognition events, electrolyte‐gated organic field‐effect transistors (EGOFETs) electrochemical (OECTs) easily fabricated operated. EGOFETs recently shown be capable of label‐free single‐molecule detections, even in serum. progress report aims provide a critical perspective through selected overview the literature on both EGOFET OECT biosensors. Attention is paid correctly attribute them potentiometric amperometric biosensor categories, which important set right conditions quantification purposes. Moreover, deepen understanding mechanisms, support unpublished data, focus put two among most aspects, namely, capacitance interplay role Faradaic currents. The final aim rationale functional mechanisms encompassing sensors, improve materials devices' designs taking advantage processes that enhance response enabling extremely resulting ultimate sensitivity, selectivity, fast response.

Abstract Recent years have witnessed ever expanding use of biosensors in the fields environmental monitoring, homeland security, pharmaceutical, food and bioprocessing, agricultural industries. To produce effective reliable biosensors, good quality immobilization biological recognition elements is critical. Chitosan its nanocomposites emerge as an excellent matrix on biosensor surface. As a natural polysaccharide, chitosan has many useful characteristics, such high permeability mechanical strength, biocompatibility non‐toxicity, availability, low cost. Due to presence amino hydroxyl groups chitosan, can easily crosslink with variety nanomaterials. This investigation nanocomposite‐based presents recent development innovations preparation coordination for various bio‐detection applications, including formed carbon nanomaterials, inorganic complexes. These nanocomposite based demonstrated sensitivity selectivity stability detection different types targets ranging from glucose, proteins, DNAs, small biomolecules bacteria. It our hope that this review will offer guidance novel open up opportunities field research.
