Due to their natural biocompatibility, cost-effectiveness, and strong interfacial adhesion, biopolymers have highly favorable properties for electrochemical biosensors. this endogenous catecholamine's versatile chemistry, dopamine's oxidation self-polymerization recently attracted considerable interest. Polydopamine (PDA)'s application surface deposition, molecular imprinting, electrochemistry is especially noteworthy. This review aims propose the role of PDA in quantitative applications, evaluate analytical performance, cost, reproducibility, versatility methods developed, standard (bio)analytical platforms. First, parameters that influence polymerization dopamine are discussed. Then, different functionalities its recent applications biosensing purposes reviewed build bioanalytical The discussion concludes with emerging PDA-integrated biosensor Finally, future perspectives improved use
