Abstract Carbon black (CB) as rubber reinforcement has raised environmental concerns regarding this traditional petroleum-based filler, which is less susceptible to biodegradability. Although it great reinforcing properties, the production technique no longer sustainable, and its cost increases regularly. For these reasons, wise look for sustainable replacement materials. Microalgal biomass (MB) demonstrated potential use biodegradable nano fillers in composites. a high productivity compared crops. They can produce large amount of per unit land area, making them highly efficient terms resource utilization. In present research, microalgal was blended with CB at different concentrations preparing two kinds composites: Nitrile Acrylonitrile-butadiene (NBR) styrene-butadiene (SBR) are common synthetic rubbers. study, researchers investigated using filler assessed filler-matrix interaction by evaluating processability, mechanical characteristics, Payne effect, swelling properties MB/CB-filled composites CB-filled The results show that incorporating dual (microalgal carbon black) had faster cure times, increased torque, improved properties. prove helps minimize bulk quantities may be used partial while still improving According successfully replace up 50% filler. This will reduce petroleum dependence possibly costs, depending on current prices.

As awareness of environmental issues deepens and the demand for sustainability grows among societies, businesses, consumers, minimizing impact food packaging has become increasingly important. Bioplastics offer a promising solution due to their use renewable resources (such as plants), biodegradability, ability retain protective properties traditional plastics. This review discusses recent advancements trends in sustainable packaging, emphasizing role bioplastics. Several typical types bioplastics are introduced, along with an analysis advantages limitations. Furthermore, this study investigates consumers’ attitudes toward bioplastic perceptions its practical use. The findings reveal that consumers generally hold positive attitude bioplastics, particularly appreciating biodegradable compostable properties. However, expectations often overly high, they believe must meet two key criteria: being made from raw materials fully or compostable. Additionally, most lack knowledge dispose waste properly. issue highlights critical areas policymakers: aligning consumer realistic goals educating public on correct sorting disposal practices.
