Recent trials have shown promising results for the use of psychedelic-assisted therapies in treating severe refractory psychiatric illnesses, and there has been growing interest examining effectiveness these eating disorders. To move forward a safe, ethically sound, scientifically rigorous manner, field must address critical considerations. In this Comment article, we outline important risks ethical considerations, along with methodological aspects that require careful consideration design therapy trials. We conclude by providing provisional guidelines clinical research to help shape future work, aim investigating employing psychedelics disorders manner protects clients participants while maximizing rigour.

Social attitudes, policy, and perceptions of psychedelics are currently undergoing considerable change. Growing public salience has been accompanied by the emergence conferences focused on psychedelic education dialogue. Attendees at such events compose an important group stakeholders in science practice; their views can be valuable for understanding current status this emerging field. For study, a survey was administered to attendees ( N = 178) academic conference two topics: spiritual care. The queried attitudes toward research domains: 1) potential benefits microdosing 2) harm with use. A subset who were facilitators care n 32) also asked about facilitation practices beliefs concerning aspects facilitation. This research aimed to better understand the lived experience of people who have participated in psychedelic experiences, and inquire into how they integrated these experiences. study used qualitative transpersonal method intuitive inquiry. In this unique methodology, researcher is able draw on both intellect intuition while moving through a five-cycle hermeneutical process.
