Abstract Table tennis players have adaptive visual and sensorimotor networks, which are the key brain regions to acquire environmental information generate motor output. This study examined 20 table 21 control subjects through ultrahigh field 7 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging. First, we measured percentage amplitude of fluctuation across five different frequency bands found that had significantly lower values than in 18 regions, suggesting enhanced stability spontaneous amplitudes networks. Functional connectional analyses revealed increased static functional connectivity between two nodes other frontal-parietal among players. Additionally, these displayed dynamic coupled with reduced processing sensory input, large-scale cross-regional areas. These findings highlight undergo neural adaptability a dual mechanism, characterized by global heightened flexibility Our offers novel insights into mechanisms athletes, providing foundation for future efforts enhance cognitive functions diverse populations, such as older adults, individuals impairments.
