The restorative effects of soundscapes on human physical and mental well-being are widely recognized, but their effectiveness is influenced by various factors, including external environments individual characteristics. Despite being a crucial element in environmental experience, the role behavior has been insufficiently studied. To address this research gap, we conducted survey five parks Fuzhou, China, using questionnaires to assess visitors’ evaluations soundscape characteristics, experiences, behavioral A total 419 valid responses were collected. Using these data, employed structural equation model conditional process analysis explore interaction between visitor experiences. results show that with pleasantness eventfulness promote static behaviors certain degree, while dynamic solely soundscapes. In which characteristics influence only mediating factor, accounting for 8% effect. Additionally, increased visit intensity enhances impact experiences weakening effect behavior. These findings provide strong support relevant design considerations.

This paper examines people’s motives for urban gardening during the pandemic waves of 2020 and 2021. Interest in this practice has often ebbed flowed response to changing socioeconomic conditions depended on positive effects terms social integration, community individual health, regeneration, food security. While several studies have documented these well with reference pre-pandemic period, few detailed their existence—and eventually variations—during lockdowns. These periods probably reignited interest practice. Unlike other recreational activities, was not restricted by regional national governments because they considered be beneficial provisioning. To explore motivations behind newfound interest, illustrates results a literature review articles published topic period from early mid-2022. Findings reveal that most widespread are those related personal wellbeing as supply security include opportunity spend time having fun outside home. In addition, resilience is motivation had been detected past.

Discourses concerning the potential health benefits of blue-green infrastructure (BGI) have gained momentum, highlighting its positive influence on human and wellbeing. While studies explored concept "Nature pyramid" role exposure to natural environments in promoting health, water elements remains underexplored. Rooted this concept, study proposed a notion "blue-green diet" as framework understand intricate mechanisms determinants optimal exposure. Understanding relationship between these their health-related impacts can facilitate enhancement BGI design, leading greater effectiveness wellbeing supporting sustainable urban development strategies. To enhance comprehension diet", conducted systematic literature review grasp underlying behind beneficial effects, focusing two key which are also derived from Pyramid": (1) type (2) mode interaction with within BGIs. Under search BGI's overall impacts, selected 54 journal publications Web Science Scopus since 2010. The revealed significant disparities provided by different types (in terms artificial extent scale) active passive modes. It examines how balance for enhancing discusses attributes that encourage diverse meaningful patterns. These efforts collectively aim optimize design planning, increase capacity promote extend wider range individuals. Future research should encompass broader spectrum determinants, such settings, visit frequency duration, user's social-cultural backgrounds.

The acoustic landscape directly affects people’s perceptual experience, which is crucial to enhancing urban greenways’ visibility experience. This study analyzed data from three typical greenways in Fuzhou City. By classifying and combining the space into two levels of “enclosure–coverage”, was categorized six types: covered, uncovered, open, semi-open, semi-enclosed, enclosure space. We explored characteristics soundscape perception factors affecting evaluation different spaces. results showed that differences sound sources between day night led spatial types. pressure level decreased with an increasing degree coverage. scores source were significantly degrees coverage, where open covered most sensitive sound, played a positive role harmony artificial sound. Pleasantness richness main influencing overall perception, contributing 50% 17%, respectively. Visitors’ age, residence type, visit frequency perception. conclusions provide reference for improving quality.
