Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a major greenhouse gas responsible for global warming and climate change. The development of sensitive CO2 sensors crucial environmental industrial applications. This paper presents novel sensor based on perovskite nanocrystals immobilized graphene functionalized with oxygen plasma treatment. impact this post-treatment method was thoroughly investigated using various characterization techniques, including Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy. detection at parts per million (ppm) levels demonstrated that the hybrids subjected to 5 min treatment exhibited 3-fold improvement in sensing performance compared untreated layers. Consequently, capability oxygen-treated samples showed limit quantification 6.9 22.9 ppm, respectively. Furthermore, influence ambient moisture also evaluated, revealing significant effect

Air conditioning systems can play a positive or negative role in the spread of COVID-19 infection. The importance sufficient outdoor air changes buildings was highlighted by World Health Organization, therefore these should be guaranteed mechanical ventilation adequate systems. proposed case study concerns optimal number to limit contagion for school building Central Italy. Wells–Riley model is used assess risk airborne infection, while energy consumption calculated dynamic simulation software. scope paper offers an innovative method define strategy building’s HVAC system design reduce infection with limited increases and greenhouse gas emissions. Results show that desirable approach one which same low value set all rooms. This new results significant savings, compared most common ones (setting high rates rooms) counteract Finally, zero-emission target verified introducing suitable photovoltaic offset pollutant

Room-level occupancy estimation is a critical input for real estate management, including building utilization optimization, energy-efficient control, security, and occupant health well-being. Knowing how many people are using room at time can enable businesses to use their estate, energy human capital more efficiently, reducing operating expenses as well carbon footprint. Radar-based attractive because it unobtrusive does not introduce the privacy issues brought with video imaging-based sensors. In this paper, we present an approach based on continuous wave Doppler radar wavelet-based signal processing techniques. Theoretical background provides rational time-frequency approach, comprehensive simulation experimental results demonstrate effectiveness of proposed approaches data set that includes 1–10 occupants. These indicate may be effective tool count in smart applications.

Nowadays, indoor air quality (IAQ) and the energy performance of buildings are two main scientific technical challenges because they in direct connection with human health depletion resources. In this study, we analyzed influence an outdoor flow introduced through a mechanical ventilation system, focusing on aforementioned topics. A standardized rate (25 m3/h/person) led to increase O3 concentration (from 5 μg/m3 50 μg/m3) and, simultaneously, decrease CO2 2000 mg/m3 800 mg/m3), PM2.5 300 150 μg/m3), maintenance constant HCHO concentration. our new, single index, IIAQ, is proposed. This new index presents different implications: one hand, it has ability simultaneously take into account several pollutant species, other can prioritize strategy that responds extreme values certain pollutant. Moreover, classes were elaborated, similar classes. The possibility using consumption may lead strategies adaptative dynamic concentrations.
