With the deceleration of urban expansion, adaptive reuse industrial heritage buildings has emerged as a novel area research. In previous times, majority approaches to adapting relied on experiential knowledge, which lacked ability objectively assess relationship between spaces and engage in rational planning. However, social network analysis method offers an objective comprehensive means perceiving spatial structure analyzing its issues from detached perspective. This study presents proposal for addressing three challenges encountered during conversion into public buildings. It also suggests optimization strategies overcome these challenges. Abstract The construction industry led by the real estate sector plays a significant role in environmental performance. Excavation, construction, and demolition waste are important generators Europe.
