With the deceleration of urban expansion, adaptive reuse industrial heritage buildings has emerged as a novel area research. In previous times, majority approaches to adapting relied on experiential knowledge, which lacked ability objectively assess relationship between spaces and engage in rational planning. However, social network analysis method offers an objective comprehensive means perceiving spatial structure analyzing its issues from detached perspective. This study presents proposal for addressing three challenges encountered during conversion into public buildings. It also suggests optimization strategies overcome these challenges. The Sanlinqiao Thermal Bottle Factory is selected research subject, model constructed analyze existing using method. proposed are then applied, optimized space evaluated through re-analysis layout. utilization rate been significantly improved, leading effective enhancement vitality site. strategy aimed at converting buildings, thereby offering valuable insights similar projects involving transformation sites.

Abstract The construction industry led by the real estate sector plays a significant role in environmental performance. Excavation, construction, and demolition waste are important generators Europe. Many of materials recyclable or reusable, however rates reuse recycling vary greatly across objective this preliminary research is to analyse excavation, conditions that have prevailed recent years throughout Europe, with focus on Greece Cyprus, considering scarce coverage specific subject matter. study outlines management principles trends, as well methods for prevention, reduction, reuse, recycling. Findings suggest a) an increase waste, connection growth, b) uncontrolled disposal common practice, which, however, severely pollutes environment, c) policymakers advocate circular economy integration strategies. current analysis argues answer efficient involves prevention policies development, long-term strategic planning all levels, treatment, establishments using vertically integrated operations.

Land imperviousness reflects settlement growth and urban sprawl. Grounded on a comparative approach, set of multidimensional statistical techniques were adopted here to quantify the evolution land from Copernicus High-Resolution Layers (HRLs) in representative case study Southern Europe (Athens, Greece). A two-way data matrix reporting percent share surface exposed different sealing levels (101 classes ranging continuously 0% 100%) total municipal area was computed for two years (2006 2018) individually 115 municipalities metropolitan Athens. This represented information base needed derive place-specific footprints comprehensive (global) profile imperviousness. Results Detrended Correspondence Analysis (DCA) delineated structure still organized along density gradient, moving dense settlements central locations with dominant sealed more than 90% their completely pervious (0%) typical rural locations. While gradient became less steep between 2006 2018, it continued aliment socioeconomic polarization districts distinctive profiles Intermediate had mixed as result Differential reflect take rates.
