A
heating,
ventilation,
and
air-conditioning
system
is
designed
for
the
entire
space
but
falls
short
in
meeting
diverse
individual
needs.
Therefore,
personalized
environmental
control
proposed
to
address
thermal
requirements
it
has
been
widely
accepted

comfort

based
on
PECS,

airflow
direction
towards

results
revealed
that
improved
reduced
mean
by
0.4–0.6
°C,
with
FB-PV
showing
particularly
promising
results.
TB-PV
demonstrated
highest
score
+1.05
(slightly
higher
than
“Just
comfortable
(+1)”)
scored
significantly
overall
willingness
at
+1.21
(higher
“Willing
(+1)”).
Conversely,
resulted
discomfort
due
restricted
breathing
under
continuous
condition.

study
presents
a
methodological
framework
for
assessing
the
energy
performance
of
Personal
Environmental
Control
Systems
(PECS),
aiming
to
address
existing
gaps
in
standardized
evaluation
approaches.
Initially,
systematic
approach

spatial
control
volumes
associated
with
PECS

facilitating
classification
and
comparison

system
types.
Utilizing
this
framework,

definitions
