Contemporary
education
is

intelligence
(AI)
gaining
significant
attention

educators

researchers.
ChatGPT,
particular,
has
been
recognized
for
its
potential
to
revolutionize
teachers’
tasks,
such
as
lesson
planning.
However,
effectiveness
designing
science
plans
aligned
the
research-based
recommendations
of
Science
Education
literature
remains
infancy.
This
exploratory
study
seeks
address
this
gap
examining
ChatGPT-assisted
planning
primary
schools
through
lens
sound
theoretical
framework

pedagogical

knowledge
(PCK).
Guided
question,
“What
are
characteristics
created
ChatGPT
terms
PCK?”,
we
designed
four
interactions
ChatGPT-4o
using
carefully
constructed
prompts

strategies.

qualitative
analysis,
analyzed
data

Findings
indicate
that

Background
