Polypores play a crucial role in energy recycling and forest regeneration ecosystems. The majority of them are wood degraders; some pathogens others ectomycorrhizal symbionts. basidiocarps provide food shelter for many organisms, mostly invertebrates, but also vertebrates, as well medicine humans. Despite extensive research on the species diversity phylogenetic relationships polypores recent years, there remains lack comprehensive understanding their distribution patterns composition at large scale. Checklists from tropical zone, including Africa, America, Asia, were analysed diversity, patterns, major taxa, nutritional modes. A total 1,902 polypore was found three regions, representing 8 orders, 46 families, 250 genera Agaricomycetes. orders Polyporales (especially family Polyporaceae) Hymenochaetales Hymenochaetaceae) had most prolific with accounting 93.4% listed. Each 1,565 (or 82.3%) only one regions studied, we treat temporarily "regional endemic species". Only 141 shared among all mere 7.4%. Tropical Africa America greatest number highest Sørensen similarity index (SC) value. forests higher richness compared temperate to boreal Northern Hemisphere, addition, proportion white rot brown species. This study outlines world, shedding light ecological significance diverse

Ganoderic acids (GAs), recognized as significant triterpenoid bioactive components in Ganoderma lucidum, exhibit a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities, including immunomodulation, anti-cancer, and anti-aging properties. Despite their potential, the low yield GAs from natural sources has emerged critical bottleneck hindering broader application pharmaceutical health care industries. Previous studies have suggested that environmental perturbations can influence energy metabolism, potentially impacting biosynthesis compounds. However, specific changes on metabolism subsequent effects synthesis G. lucidum remains an understudied area. We demonstrated intracellular ATP deficiency significantly influences accumulation induced by alterations metabolism. Intracellular was consistently observed under all four known conditions induce accumulation: heat stress (HS), nitrogen limitation, treatment with 50 µM methyl jasmonate (MeJA), 200 salicylic acid (SA). Consistent these findings, silencing synthase beta subunit (ATPsyn-beta) or treating oligomycin (Oli), inhibitor, increased lucidum. Our results revealed increase biosynthetic pathway levels precursor acetyl-CoA mycelia deficiency. Enhanced fatty β-oxidation identified primary source additional acetyl-CoA, indicating this process, deficiency, is crucial for accumulation. This study content respond to impact GAs, holding substantial implications production practices. Modulating could yields, cater market demands, reduce costs. The research also furnishes scientific foundation optimizing cultivation conditions, employing genetic engineering refine pathways, leveraging control boost efficiency.
