ABSTRACT Wound healing, especially for severe injuries, require dressings that absorb exudate, prevent infection, and support healing without causing trauma upon removal. Traditional single‐layered often fail to balance moisture retention protection, hindering optimal healing. To address this, a bilayered scaffold was fabricated comprising an electrospun hydrophilic sublayer of Pullulan/Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/Gum arabic blend loaded with Gentamicin solvent‐casted hydrophobic top layer Polylactic acid (PLA). The designed direct wound contact ease dressing removal, while the enhance mechanical properties, loss, protect against external environment. exhibited antibacterial activity Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli , controlled release 93.09% ± 2.63% within 48 h, best described by zero‐order model ( R 2 = 0.9850). It demonstrated swelling index 611.85% 15.05%, indicating its excellent exudate absorbing capacity. water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) porosity were 94.20 14.50 g/m /day 70.56% 0.58%, respectively, both falling permissible range Additionally, in vitro biocompatibility assays conducted on human dermal fibroblast (HDF) cells confirmed noncytotoxicity applicability applications.

Chitosan (CTS) has emerged as a promising biopolymer for wound healing due to its biocompatibility, biodegradability, and intrinsic bioactive properties. This study explores the development characterization of CTS-based films enhanced with natural agents, aloe vera (A), gluconolactone (GL), sorbitol (S), improve their mechanical, antimicrobial, regenerative performance potential use in advanced care. A series were fabricated varying concentrations A, GL, S, physicochemical, biological properties comprehensively evaluated. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy atomic force microscopy (AFM) analysis revealed modifications film structure attributable these additives, influencing surface roughness, hydrophilicity, thermal stability. Biocidal assays confirmed antimicrobial activity, particularly containing GL A. Biodegradation studies demonstrated significant enhancement microbial decomposition films, while cytocompatibility tests minimal cytotoxic effects improved cellular response. research underscores combining CS S engineer multifunctional biomaterials tailored effectively tackling different phases process, offering sustainable biocompatible alternative clinical applications.

Rapid rewarming is the standard and most common strategy for treating frostbite. Due to freezing susceptibility lack of thermal effects, traditional therapeutic hydrogels are not suitable being directly applied frostbite therapy in cold conditions. Contrastively, antifreezing photothermal that apt freeze capable wounds deemed hold great application potential such therapy. Nevertheless, these have rarely been researched. Herein, using glycerol as cryoprotectant polydopamine nanoparticles (PDA NPs) agent, a novel pullulan-based organohydrogel (CPG-PDA organohydrogel) was successfully developed treat first time. The CPG-PDA formed through 1-ethyl-3-(3-(dimethylamino)propyl)carbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC·HCl)-mediated esterification reactions found possess certain mechanical stability, shear-thinning behaviors (injectability), excellent properties, superb vitro vivo performances, outstanding cytocompatibility hemocompatibility. Most noticeably, coating observed significantly accelerate healing rats. opined be promising platform direct treatment environment would open new avenue design strategies
