ABSTRACT Bioplastics offer biodegradability and reduced environmental impact but often use nondegradable synthetic dyes. This study introduces a novel application of glow discharge plasma (GDP) technology to modify cassava starch‐based bioplastic sheets, specifically optimizing conditions enhance their hydrophilicity adhesion for natural research systematically tailors treatment parameters maximize the interaction between bioplastics eco‐friendly Optimal conditions, identified as 30 W 3 min using oxygen, air, nitrogen treatments, demonstrate significant advancement in sustainable material development. Analyses (ATR‐FTIR, EDX, XPS) showed increased concentration polar functional groups oxygen content, with FE‐SEM water contact angle measurements revealing improved surface roughness wettability, respectively. Oxygen yielded highest crystallinity polymer. Tensile tests indicated strength decreased elongation. UV‐Vis spectroscopy confirmed enhanced dye retention leaching. demonstrates GDP's potential incorporate dyes into bioplastics, thereby contributing development more materials.
