The possibility of separation petroleum vanadyl porphyrins from asphaltene clusters on the silica gel adsorbent whose mean pore diameter (27 Å) exceeds size petroporphyrin molecules but not has been studied. For this purpose, time- and concentration-dependent adsorption heavy oil asphaltenes contained in them was studied by a UV–vis spectroscopic method order to identify differences mechanism rate their adsorption. It established that at initial concentrations above critical nanoaggregate concentration (CNAC) clustering (CCC), shape kinetic curves is significantly influenced nonaggregated still remaining solution. attainment equilibrium limited nanoaggregates. free up 2 orders magnitude greater than nanoaggregates, which indicates independent diffusion these two types components inside pores. Asphaltene do make significant contribution total due size-exclusion effect. Using experimental data time-course adsorption, we revealed impact factors efficacy porphyrin isolation. Due effect toward clusters, 6-fold enrichment adsorbate with petroporphyrins achieved. results study can lay basis for more effective approaches
