This study aimed to examine the association between triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index and liver fibrosis (LF) in U.S. adults with Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MAFLD). Using data from 2017 2020 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database, we conducted a population-based cross-sectional 1,324 participants. MAFLD was defined as controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) score ≥ 248 dB/m accompanied by metabolic dysfunction. A median stiffness measurement 8.2 kPa used identify significant (≥ F2). Multivariable logistic regression employed assess impact of TyG on LF outcomes. restricted cubic spline (RCS) model explore nonlinear effects, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were applied evaluate effectiveness predicting. Among participants, 716 men 608 women, aged 20 80 years, representing various racial groups. Significant observed 137 out After adjusting for confounding factors, higher significantly associated an increased incidence MAFLD-related (OR = 2.18, 95% CI, 1.14–4.18; p < 0.05). Elevated levels showed positive correlation fibrosis, odds ratio (OR) exceeding 1 when above 8.054. Subgroup analyses stratified sex, age, body mass (BMI) revealed differences after confounders. The stronger women 2.53, 1.16–5.53) than 1.95, 0.81–4.72). also found obesity status (overweight: OR 4.80, 1.27–18.2; obese: 2.26, 1.20–5.53). In patients 40–59, strongly 2.85, 1.16–6.79). Furthermore, area under ROC curve (AUC) predicting 0.73 (95% 0.68–0.78), indicating moderate predictive ability. general population, elevated positively risk patients.

Jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) is one of the three traditional woody crop species in China, where it originated from middle and lower reaches Yellow River. considered oldest cultivated fruit trees world, as its utilization can be traced back to more than 7000 years ago. The jujube has important nutritional, economic, ecological values, hence well received by both planters consumers. At present, cultivation spread 48 countries provides a pathway for Chinese farmers produce lucrative cash crop. regarded superfruit future due excellent nutritional profile. Social progress economic shifts leading improvement living standards influence value consumers, who have gradually shifted toward functional foods, while at same time, consumer desires environmental pressures change breeding goals new varieties. In this review, we summarize origin, classification, historical, modern, uses jujube. We also provide some advice on establishment objectives period development. This review aims useful references researchers jujube, guide shareholders industry, formulate modern development elite cultivars.

(1) Background: Hepatic lipid accumulation is the initial factor in metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) type 2 diabetics, leading to accelerated damage. The NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome plays a critical role this process. Dapansutrile (DAPA) novel NLRP3 inhibitor; however, its effect on ectopic remains unclear. This study aimed investigate therapeutic of DAPA hepatic diabetic mouse model and potential mechanisms. (2) Methods: effects deposition function under metabolic stress were evaluated vivo using db/db high-fat diet (HFD) + streptozotocin (STZ) models. Additionally, mechanism cellular deposition, mitochondrial oxidative stress, inflammation assessed HepG2 cells treated with free acids (FFA) DAPA. (3) Results: Our findings indicated that treatment improved glucose metabolism mice, particularly addressing heterotopic insulin resistance. also ameliorated mitochondrial-related functions through NLRP3-Caspase-1 signaling axis. (4) Conclusions: Targeting may represent approach for diabetes-related diseases.
