ABSTRACT Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are a class of flame retardants that being used widely in industrial and consumers products such as plastics, electronics, furniture, textiles so forth. They can undergo debromination process to form less brominated ethers, which bioaccumulative, more volatile toxic nature. The current study was conducted reveal the biochemical, apoptotic, histopathological, ultrastructural biomolecular (ATR‐FTIR) toxicity 4‐bromodiphenyl ether (BDE‐3) zebrafish larvae. After 96‐h LC 50 determination, embryos were exposed sublethal concentrations BDE‐3, is, 0.79 1.59 mg/L. MDA content found be significantly increased BDE‐3 larvae whereas FRAP activity decreased. catalase (CAT), glutathione‐S‐transferase (GST) acetylcholinesterase (AChE) observed increased, decreased superoxide dismutase (SOD) reported after exposure cell viability exposure. Histopathological alterations also changes biomolecules DNA protein revealed via ATR‐FTIR analysis. present investigation will help understand nature could utilised assess environmental risk.

Cadmium contamination in aquatic environments poses severe risks to organisms, particularly fish, where cadmium accumulation tissues can lead compromised organ functionality and reproductive issues. The present study aimed assess the effects of (Cd) exposure on key biomarkers oxidative stress, DNA damage, apoptosis, enzyme activity liver kidney rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Specifically, measured 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) levels, caspase-3 activation, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, stress indicators (ONOO
