Long persistent luminescence (LPL) materials open up a new avenue for information security, anticounterfeiting technology, and bioimaging thanks to their unique characteristics like ultralong exciton migration distances multiple-colored light emission. As that have value commercial applications, they attract much attention. In this paper, inexpensive, accessible, eco-friendly niacin is used as ligand combine with the universally metal ion Zn(II) form crystallized metal-organic complex dubbed Zn-NA. The named material possesses an room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) lifetime of 265 ms under atmosphere 446 at 77 K. Notably, it exhibits bright multimode (excitation- temperature-dependent) color-tunable LPL changes from blue cyan then yellow-green upon removal irradiation sources. Depending on its photoluminescence theoretical calculations, observed long-lived RTP Zn-NA can be attributed coexistence single-molecule state induced by heavy atom effect aggregated within dense crystalline structure.
