The common fluorescent conjugated materials present weak or quenching luminescent phenomena in the solid aggregate state (ACQ), which limits their applications medicine and biology. In last two decades, certain materials, named aggregation-induced emission (AIE) have exhibited strong properties state, can overcome ACQ phenomenon. Due to intrinsic properties, AIE been successfully used biolabeling, where they not only detect species of ions concentrations organisms, but also monitor organisms' physiological activity. addition, these kinds often non-biological toxicity. Thus, become some most popular biofluorescent probe are attracting more attention. This field is still its early infancy, several open challenges urgently need be addressed, such as materials' biocompatibility, metabolism, so on. Designing a high-performance material for probes challenging. this review, based on molecular design concept, various with functional groups introduced, including tetrastyrene distilbene anthracene triphenylamine hexaphenylsilole materials. according system strategy, donor-acceptor (D-A) hydrogen-bonding reviewed. Finally, concept potential evolution trends discussed. final goal outline theoretical scaffold that at same time further development AIE-based probes.
