The electrolysis of water is one low-cost green hydrogen production technologies. main challenge regarding this technology designing and developing high-activity catalysts. Herein, we present a strategy to fabricate flexible electrocatalysts based on nickel–iron (NiFe) alloy coatings. NiFe coatings were plated the copper-coated polyimide surface (Cu/PI) using straightforward electroless metal-plating method, with morpholine borane as reducing agent. It was found that Ni90Fe10, Ni80Fe20, Ni60Fe40, Ni30Fe70 deposited Cu/PI surface; then, concentration Fe2+ in plating solution 0.5, 1, 5, 10 mM, respectively. morphology, structure, composition NixFey/Cu/PI catalysts have been examined scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma–optical emission (ICP-OES), whereas their activity has investigated for evolution (HER) oxygen (OER) reactions 1 M KOH linear sweep voltammetry (LSVs). Ni80Fe20/Cu/PI catalyst exhibited lowest overpotential value −202.7 mV HER, obtaining current density mA cm−2 compared Ni90Fe10/Cu/PI (−211.9 mV), Ni60Fe40/Cu/PI (−276.3 Ni30Fe70/Cu/PI (−278.4 Ni (−303.4 mV). On other hand, OER (344.7 mV) observed catalyst, Ni35Fe65 (369.9 Ni80Fe20 (450.2 Ni90Fe10 (454.2 coatings, (532.1 developed exhibit cell potential 1.85 V at cm−2. obtained seem be suitable HER alkaline media.

Green hydrogen production technology is an effective strategy for solving energy problems and environmental issues. In this paper, we report a bipolar system: Au–CuxO/CF∥Ru–CuxO/CF, in which the cathode produces through evolution reaction (HER) process anode formaldehyde oxidation (FOR). It found that when Au–CuxO/CF used FOR, C–H bond of will be broken at low potential to produce reactive H*. H* recombined Tafel step (H* + ⇌ H2) H2. At same time, oxidized high-value-added product HCOOH. We formation grain boundary-rich structures on Au–CuxO surface jointly promotes potentials. addition, introduced Ru elements into CuxO enhance cathodic HER. The FOR-HER system Au–CuxO/CF∥Ru–CuxO/CF was tested flow cell. produced current density 500 mA cm–2 only 0.38 V. This work provides construction catalyst design ideas voltages.
