Recently, construction heterojunctions with combination materials desired band structures smart approach promoting electrocatalytic activities attaining charge redistribution manipulating electronic structure at interface. present review elaborately discusses possible heterojunctions, alterations interface, insight thermodynamics, causes for boosting activities. heterojunction-based electrocatalysts found not only oxygen evolution reactions reactions, but also very useful various electrochemical oxidation as well reduction involving small molecules undergoing decomposition low energy.
