Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are persistent organic chemicals found in numerous industrial applications everyday products. The excessive amounts of PFASs water soil, together with their link to severe health issues, have prompted substantial public concerns, making removal from the environment a necessity. Existing degradation techniques frequently lacking due low efficiency, cost-effectiveness, potential for secondary contamination. Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) technology has emerged as promising alternative, utilizing energized reactive species break down under ambient conditions. Therefore, this review examines efficacy effectiveness CAP degrading by reviewing various setups examining key factors involved. This also aims further development viable solution PFAS addressing outstanding challenges future directions soil treatment.
