Developing green, environmental, sustainable new energy sources is an important problem to be solved in the world. Among technologies, water splitting system, fuel cell technology and metal-air battery are main production conversion methods, which involve three electrocatalytic reactions, hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen (OER), reduction (ORR). The efficiency of power consumption very dependent on activity electrocatalysts. various electrocatalysts, two-dimensional (2D) materials have received widespread attention due multiple advantages, such as their easy availability low price. What' that they adjustable physical chemical properties. It possible develop them electrocatalysts replace noble metals. Therefore, design a focus research area. Some recent advances ultrasound-assisted preparation been overviewed according kind this review. Firstly, effect ultrasonic cavitation its applications synthesis inorganic introduced. ultrasonic-assisted representative 2D for example transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), graphene, layered double hydroxide (LDH), MXene, catalytic properties discussed detail. For example, CoMoS4 synthesized through facile hydrothermal method. obatined HER OER overpotential electrode 141 250 mV, respectively. This review points out some problems need urgently at present, provides ideas designing constructing with better performance.

Abstract This study proposes a strategy based on heterovalent ion doping that gives rise to synergistic piezo‐phototronic effect with significantly improved catalytic activity and leads selective enhancement for specific pollutants. Owing the enhanced light absorption, hydrogen evolution rates are as high 3704 3178 µmolg −1 h in 0.01Li‐doped BaTiO 3 0.02La‐doped nanosheets, respectively, under simultaneous irradiation by ultrasound light, factor of 4.6 3.9 times higher than pure . The performance also far exceeds single piezocatalysis, photocatalysis, or sum two Li/La‐doped nanosheets due effects piezoelectric field promoting photo‐induced separation electron‐hole pairs. Further, carefully selecting donor acceptor doping, significant catalyst pollutants is obtained controlling band structure. Compared , possesses anionic dyes such Methyl blue Malachite Green, reaching 0.067 1.379 min while exhibits better cationic Rhodamine B Orange, degradation up 0.274 0.029 respectively. offers path design efficient piezocatalysts applications.

In previous years, different pollutants, for example, organic dyes, antibiotics, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural have been of note to the water enterprise due their insufficient reduction during standard wastewater processing methods. MOFs found potential toward management. This Review focused on synthesis process (such as traditional, electrochemical, microwave, sonochemical, mechanochemical, continuous-flow spray-drying method) MOF materials. Moreover, properties materials discussed in detail. Further, materials' applications treatment removal metal ions, waste) discussed. Additionally, we compared performances some typical MOFs-based with those other commonly used Finally, study's current challenges, future prospects, outlook highlighted.
