To realize sustainable development, more and countries forwarded carbon neutrality goal. Accordingly, improving the utilization efficiency of traditional fossil fuel is an effective strategy for this great Keeping in mind, developing thermoelectric devices to recover waste heat energy resulted consumption process demonstrated be promising. High performance require advanced materials. MXenes are a kind 2D materials with layered structure, which demonstrate excellent owing their unique physical, mechanical, chemical properties. Also, substantial achievement has been gained during past few years synthesizing MXene based devices. In review, mainstream synthetic routes from etching MAX were summarized. Significantly, current state challenges research on thermoelectrics explored, including pristine composites.
