The search for renewable, affordable, sustainable, and ecologically benign fuels to substitute fossil-based diesel has led increased traction in the biodiesel production utilization recent times. Biodiesel, a form of liquid biofuel, been found alleviate environmental degradation, enhance engine performance, reduce emissions toxic gases transportation other internal combustion engines. However, processes have dogged with various challenges complexities which limited its expected progression. introduction data-based technologies is one remedies aimed at deescalating associated synthesis. In this study, application machine learning (ML) –based including artificial neural network (ANN), response surface methodology (RSM), adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), etc. As tools prediction, modeling, optimization process was interrogated based on outcomes previous studies research domain. Specifically, we review influence input variables like alcohol: oil molar ratio, catalyst concentration, reaction temperature, residence time, agitation speed yield (output variable). outcome investigation shows that usage ANN, RSM, ANFIS, raised between 84% 98% while statistical verification Pearson correlation coefficient determination are close 1. Going forward, more targeted collaborative needed escalate use innovative entire value chain efficiency, ensure economic feasibility, promote sustainability.

Abstract The adoption of biofuels as an energy source has experienced a substantial increase, exceeding the consumption fossil fuels. shift can be ascribed to availability renewable resources for production and ecological advantages linked their utilisation. Nevertheless, due its intricate characteristics, process producing ethanol fuel from biomass poses difficulties in terms administration, enhancement, forecasting future results. To tackle these difficulties, it is crucial utilise modelling techniques like artificial intelligence (AI) create, oversee, improve bioethanol procedures. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) prominent AI technique that offers significant systems’ pretreatment, fermentation, conversion stages. They are highly flexible accurate, making them particularly well-suited. This study thoroughly examines several used production, specifically focusing on research published past ten years. analysis emphasises importance using methods address complexities shows role enhancing efficiency sustainability biofuel industry.

Currently, the economic and environmental benefits of a C–C coupling technique for upgrading ethanol to produce higher alcohols call improved performance catalysts due limitations such as low reaction efficiency, high byproduct selectivity, easy catalyst deactivation. Meanwhile, there exists lack understanding roles active sites on catalysts, especially surface acid sites, in conversion. Herein, we developed new cost-effective metal phosphate-supported copper catalysts. Cu-support interactions were shown impact dispersion reduction species. Compared Cu/CePO4 Cu/AlPO4, Cu/LaPO4 having area Cu+ content exhibited stronger dehydrogenation activity achieved considerably selectivity (81.0%) at 74.5% conversion 250 °C, well much space-time yield (37.2 mmol·gcat–1·h–1) surpassing those Cu-based previously reported. It was revealed that proper ratio acidic Cu0 Lewis Brønsted conducive acetaldehyde with help highlighting metal-acid synergistic catalytic effect. This study offers reference designing high-performance efficient alcohols.
