In this study, sodium dodecyl sulfate modified graphene oxide (GO-SDS) was prepared as an adsorbent to remove moxifloxacin (MFX) from aqueous solution. Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) and scanning (SEM) images showed that SDS decreases the aggregation of GO surface, which significantly increased surface area interlayer distance between successive layers GO-SDS. Adsorption studies demonstrated 98% MFX removed by GO-SDS within 15 min at pH 5.8, while dosage 37.5 mg L–1. The adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second order linear model, Langmuir isotherm model fitted data better than Freundlich model. values ΔH ΔS obtained thermodynamic were +5.603 kJ mol–1 +2.114 K–1, respectively, indicating process is endothermic spontaneous. Furthermore, satisfactory reusability revealed it could be effective for removal

This research focus endeavour to compare the remediation of tetracycline (TC) through activated carbon (AC), crafted utilizing two distinct chemical activators: zinc chloride (ACZ), and potassium hydroxide (ACK), using pine cone biowaste as an effective precursor, followed by microwave-assisted activation. The impact TC removal ACZ ACK adsorbents was thoroughly examined. influence pH, adsorbent mass, adsorption isotherms, kinetics, inclusive thermodynamics were studied. Our results revealed that interaction between or aligned well with model pseudo-second-order whilst Langmuir fitted isotherm data ACK. have a maximum capacity 327.87 mg/g compared (283.29 mg/g). Adsorption facilitated suitable pore volume, abundant microporous, mesoporous structure these adsorbents. is in oxygen-containing functional groups, minimized reactive sites, bonding molecules hydrogen bonding, for faster TC. finding from this work further highlights synthesized cones evidenced significant environmental potentials elimination antibiotics aqueous solution, promote clean application perspectives.
