Efficient wastewater treatment processes are in high demand for removing organic and inorganic pollutants. Photocatalysis, as an environmentally friendly technology, has shown significant progress the of contaminated wastewater. This review explores potential spinel ferrite-based nanomaterials efficient photocatalysts treatment. To enhance their properties, ferrites have been combined with advanced materials, such BiOX, MXene, g-C3N4 to form binary ternary nanocomposites. We highlight state-of-the-art these ferrite nanocomposites photocatalytic degradation These showed superior performance due enhanced properties increasing capacity light utilization, slowing electron-hole recombination, reducing agglomeration. Furthermore, our recent research on template-assisted synthesis, a novel approach fine-tuning morphology enhancing catalytic efficiency. The impact both soft hard templates produced is discussed. Overall, this unique combination nanocomposite materials structural control using approaches paves way new generation highly photocatalysts. Thus, we provide comprehensive overview advances development nanocomposites, underlining environmental remediation applications.
