The valorization of paper mill sludge (PMS) is the main goal this study. emissions PMS continue to increase at global scale, especially from packaging and board sectors. raw was used prepare an adsorbent remove toxic pollutants wastewater, methylene blue (MB), organic dye. Firstly, physico-chemical characterization done determining crystalline phases fibers, content elements, pH zero point charge, which determined around 7. adsorption MB on powder studied 18 °C with agitation 200 rpm, being best operating conditions 30 min contact time, 250 mg L-1 initial concentration 0.05 g in 25 mL dose. Experimental data fitted Langmuir Freundlich isotherm equations. model more accurate for equilibrium 5.1. PFOM PSOM were adjusted experimental kinetics data, PSOM, describes better by powder. This confirmed calculating maximum capacity 42.7 g-1, nearly similar value 43.5 g-1. analysis thermodynamics showed that adsorbed exothermically a ΔH0 = - 20.78 kJ mol-1, spontaneously ΔG0 0.99 6.38 mol-1 range temperature 291 363 K, respectively. These results confirm industry can be as biosorbent remarkable low cost treatment wastewater. applied future depollution effluents textile industry, are highly charged dyes.
