Abstract The huge consumption of alkali during biomass‐derived porous carbon production leads to pollution and high carbon‐emission. This study employs the concept Fenton chemistry achieve hierarchical biomass materials with a remarkably specific surface area 3440 m 2 g −1 double activation efficiency compared traditional process. optimized electrode demonstrates exceptional capacitance 425.2 F at current density 0.1 A great rate performance (286.1 100 ) in 6 KOH electrolyte. enabled supercapacitor remarkable cycling stability, retaining up 99.74% its initial after undergoing 20 000 charge–discharge cycles. In addition, electrolyte ion distribution different pore structures is simulated using Molecular Dynamics, which confirms that structure conducive rapid diffusion ions, thus matching excellent electrochemical properties. assembled symmetric supercapacitors maximum energy 42.1 Wh kg (12.1 based on cell stack mass) TEABF 4 /AN work presents an effective technique for formation from precursors. novel methodology can be applied many other similar systems storage beyond.

Fluorescence regulation of carbon dots (CDs) during their preparation has become a hot research topic. In this work, multicolor fluorescent CDs with unconventional luminescence behavior are prepared by using o-, m-, or p-phenylenediamine (o-PD, m-PD, p-PD, respectively) and 2,3-dihydroxynaphthalene rich hydroxyl groups as reaction precursors. Tunable bright blue, yellow, red colors can be obtained solvothermal method under the joint action ethanol hydrochloric acid. The fluorescence emission synthesized follows rule o-PD to m-PD p-PD from blue red, which is contrary most previously reported results (the following an order p-PD). Our reveal that differences in polymerization, surface states, functional groups, graphite N content might main reasons for behavior. addition, these have good applications fields light-emitting diode lighting anticounterfeiting.

Abstract The capacitive properties of supercapacitors highly rely on the reasonable design high‐performance electrode materials. Herein, a synergetic strategy pre‐oxidation and pre‐carbonization is proposed to prepare coal tar pitch (CTP) based porous carbon. formation mechanism carbon revealed. Pre‐oxidation increases heteroatom content promotes decomposition polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons into small molecules, which more conducive improving subsequent activation enhancing microporous specific surface area. Also, autoclave polymerization precursors yield. Benefiting from synergistic effect pre‐carbonation, obtained exhibits superior capacitance 365 F g −1 . Meanwhile, ZnCl 2 used as hydrogen‐bonding acceptor synthesize ‐EG/PVA deep eutectic solvent (DES) gel, it applicable acidic, neutral, alkaline electrolytes. capacitor assembled with prepared DES gel electrolyte achieves high energy density 41.3 Wh kg works well in unconventional temperatures (−40–75 °C). This work confirms fabrication CTP‐based material expects using other pre‐oxidation/carbonization agents.
