Self-heating
membrane
distillation
has
emerged
as
a
promising
method
for
seawater
desalination
due
to
its
cost-effectiveness
and
high
efficiency
(MD)
performance.
However,
the
single
energy
input
(solar
or
electrical
energy)
of
current
self-heating
MD
faces
challenges
such
unstable
freshwater
production,
consumption,
intolerance
oil
contamination.
To
overcome
these
limitations,
we
develop
novel
Janus
(CNT-PVA@CC/HPo-PVDF)
that
combines
photothermal
electrothermal
effects
local
heating
efficient
phase
separation.
Our
experimental
numerical
findings
demonstrate
solar
coupled
(SEMD)
performance
is
influenced
by
working
conditions.
By
optimizing
flow
velocity
(0.06
g/s)
electrical/solar
ratio
(1
sun
0.2
W),
achieve
remarkable
water
flux
4.3
kg
m-2
h-1
(4.6
times
better
than
conventional
MD)
an
utilization
76.32%.
Furthermore,
exhibits
excellent
in
silicone
oil/brine
emulsions

hrs;
separable
design
allows
replacing
hydrophobic
if
it
contaminated,
which
extends
service
life

(CNT-PVA@CC).
This

provides
