Biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) mulch has been developed to replace conventional polyethylene (PE) in agriculture as a response growing concerns about recalcitrant plastic pollution and the accumulation of microplastics (MPs) soil.Cadmium is significant soil pollutant China.MPs have shown adsorb metals. In this study earthworm Lumbricus terrestris was exposed either Cd (1.0-100 mg / kg) or MPs (PE PLA, 0.1-3 % w w), combination two, for 28 days.Cd bioavailability significantly decreased presence MPs.In particular, at end experiment, PLA treatments had lower measured concentrations both earthworms (2.127-29.24mg pore water (below detection limits -0.1384 /L) relative PE (2.720-33.77mg kg below -0.2489 L).In our adsorption experiment adsorbed more than with maximum capacities 126.0 23.2 respectively. These results suggest that reduce exposure by removing it from solution reducing its bioavailability.

Abstract Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is commonly used for skull repair, but it involves the risk of poor tissue integration and bacterial infection. Simultaneously endowing PEEK with comprehensive bone soft antibacterial ability remains a challenge. Herein, novel hydroxylated graphite‐like layer protein regulation constructed on through simple hydrogen plasma immersion ion implantation (H‐PIII). The energy transfer between high‐energy molecular chains induces formation structures large conjugated systems surface PEEK. In addition, enhanced reducibility at high voltage converts oxygen‐containing functional groups material into phenolic hydroxyl structures. Simulation experimental results confirm that can increase adsorption capacity, induce exposure to RGD binding sites by changing potential. As consequence, simultaneously enhances both capabilities activating conservative integrin‐related pathways. photothermal effect this film denaturation kill bacteria under stimulation near‐infrared light. This study provides new idea endow polymer implants integrated bone‐soft therapies.
