Toluene, which is one of the typical volatile organic compounds (VOCs), can pose a serious threat to environment and human health. Catalytic oxidation technology regarded as highly efficient method for removal toluene. This article reviews recent advances catalytic toluene on Mn-based catalysts. The reaction mechanism has been summarized first. Then structure performance different catalysts have systematically described discussed. In particular, defect engineering fabricate active introduced. Finally, current scientific issues perspectives in future research are put forward. Hopefully, this comprehensive review shed light design more promote their practical application.
