Flammability, slow nucleation rates, and poor UV-shielding limit the widespread use of bioplastic polylactic acid (PLA). Traditional functional additives usually have disadvantages complicated synthesis process, environmental unfriendliness, single function, etc., after blending with PLA, it will also lead to degradation mechanical properties. In this work, fully biobased multifunctional (PN) were prepared by a simple green aqueous phase electrostatic self-assembly method using phytic nicotinamide as monomers. Incorporation only 2 wt % PN endowed PLA limiting oxygen index 29.0% UL-94 rating V-0, meeting standard for flame-retardant materials. Flame-retardant mechanisms PLA/PN composites mainly gas phase. addition, UV protection factor value was increased 90.8, showing good shielding ability. It noteworthy that incorporation density thus maintaining better properties PLA. Therefore, work provides efficient large-scale preparation additives, which is expected expand application areas
