research,
optimizing
methane
production
from
waste
activated
sludge
(WAS)
is
a
core
focus.
This
study
investigated
the
efficacy
and
mechanism
of
deep
eutectic
solvents
(DES)
as
pretreatment
agents
for
AD
systems
WAS.
Two
DESs
were
developed,
key
findings
included
significant
increases
in
production:
390%
choline
chloride-urea
(ChCl-Urea)
540%
chloride-ethylene
glycol
(ChCl-EG).
Results
showed
that
ChCl-Urea
mainly
disrupted
extracellular
polymeric
substances
(EPS)
structures,
aiding
initial
solubilization
during
pretreatment.
ChCl-EG,
instead,
induced
self-driven
organic
enhanced
hydrolysis
acidification
process.

Abstract
Icing
of
wind
turbine
blades
will
seriously
hinder
the
development
power
industry,

biomass

Low-income
countries
(LICs)

biogas
plants
for
the
extraction

energy

fertilizers.
