Abstract Emerging single‐atom catalysts (SACs) are promising in water remediation through Fenton‐like reactions. Despite the notable enhancement of catalytic activity increasing density active sites, performance improvement is not solely attributed to increase number sites. The variation behaviors stemming from increased atomic particularly elusive and deserves an in‐depth study. Herein, Fe (Fe SA ‐CN) with different distances ( d site ) between adjacent sites constructed by controlling loading. With decrease value, remarkably enhanced ‐CN realized via electron transfer regime peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation. value promotes electronic communication further alters structure favor PMS Moreover, two collectively adsorb achieve single‐site desorption decomposition products, maintaining continuous activation contaminant removal. ‐CN/PMS system exhibits excellent anti‐interference for various aquatic systems good durability continuous‐flow experiments, indicating its great potential treatment applications. This study provides understanding distance effect on designing densely populated SACs.
