Temperature is an important factor influencing the treatment effect of biological aerated filters (BAFs). In this study, BAFs incorporating manganese oxides (BMOs) were used to treat micro-polluted source water containing organic masses and ammonia, influence temperature on removal efficiency pollutants was investigated. The results showed that after formation biogenic in filter layer, CODMn significantly improved. When approximately 24 °C, 16 6~8 rates CODMn, 60.64, 42.55, 20.48; 98.40, 95.58, 85.04; 98.70, 97.63, 96.38%, respectively. hierarchically structured as follows: > ammonia manganese. The riparian zone has a proven ability to reduce agricultural nonpoint-source nitrogen pollution. However, prior studies have only assessed nitrification and denitrification their influencing factors, such as hydrology, climate, vegetation, soil physicochemical properties, overlooked the role of pesticide accumulation, which is an important anthropogenic pollutant. This study investigated response microbial cycle in zones 60 days acetochlor (ACE) exposure at doses 0.5, 2.5, 5.0 mg/kg. results showed that ACE inhibited transformation NH3-N, NO3−-N, NO2−-N also decreased potential rates by affecting respective enzyme activities related communities. Metagenomic sequencing revealed expression functional genes associated with NO3−-N processes, including denitrification, dissimilatory nitrate reduction ammonium, assimilatory reduction, declined most. recommended field dose (0.5 mg/kg) slight effect on communities, whereas 5 10 times were highly inhibitory. novel exploring effects soils, suggesting accumulation could affect health aquatic ecosystems.

To reduce pesticide pollution and promote sustainable agricultural development in China, we designed a pilot-scale biofilter system to treat residual imidacloprid wastewater an orchard. The demonstrated high rate of removal from the biodegradation wastewater, with rates outlet exceeding 99% at different concentrations pesticides. Among environmental factors, concentration inlet biomixture significantly affected activity imidacloprid-degrading bacteria. dominant microbial communities during stable operation included Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes phylum level Bacillus, Methylobacter, unclassified_f__Microbacteriaceae genus level. In future initiatives improve performance applicability, increasing attention should be paid communities, number units, important factors. Orchard workers China existing treatment mitigate non-point source pollution.
