ZSM-5 zeolite is a multifunctional material highly efficient for adsorbing ions. Our was synthesized by employing nucleating gel as structure-directing agent, followed homogenization and hydrothermal treatment. The as-prepared physicochemically characterized to assess its properties. Next, the employed an adsorbent remove rare earth elements, REEs from synthetic solutions real phosphogypsum leachate under batch mode operation. As expected, discovered be microporous with abundant surface functionalities, which could positively impact REE adsorption. adsorption data indicated high affinity between all three rapid kinetics capacities. modeling study suggested that kinetic were well fitted Avrami-fractional order, Liu described equilibrium data. maximum capacity Ce3+, La3+, Nd3+ 99.42 mg g-1, 96.43 118.10 respectively. Further, thermodynamic analysis revealed interaction favorable, spontaneous, endothermic. efficiency of also studied in recovering several wastes, results proved potency do so. findings reported this work support idea can successfully used recover samples.
