Due to the inherent metals (Cu, As and Cr) in preserved wood waste (CCA-treated waste) that pose a risk both environment human health, it is crucial dispose of CCA-treated properly. Carbon materials have received widespread attention for their high porosity, renewability simplicity fabrication. This work presents simple effective process producing carbon from leftover (chromated copper arsenate). Utilizing derived (CCA-BC) activating with KOH (CCA-AC), electrode supercapacitor applications were created its electrochemical characteristics investigated. The resulting material combines conductivity metal good porosity provided by materials. Compared common biomass, (W-BC) activated (W-AC), CCA-BC CCA-AC better properties. After being pyrolyzed at 600 °C two hours, performed optimally electrochemically 1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte, demonstrating 72% capacity retention rate after 2000 charge discharge cycles specific 76.7 F/g. study provides novel approach manufacture electrodes, which also allows an environmentally nondestructive form elimination.
