Abstract TiO 2 has attracted much attention in the field of photocatalytic degradation antibiotics due to its good photostability, nontoxicity, and low cost. However, rapid recombination photogenerated carriers limits further improvement activity. Here, a facile microwave‐assisted hydrothermal method been developed prepare Pt clusters decorated nanoparticles. ranging size from 1 nm are uniformly distributed across surface matrix. A pronounced charge transfer phenomenon is discernible between components. It revealed that enables faster separation electrons holes, which beneficial for both ofloxacin levofloxacin. The capability can be attributed efficient generation •OH or •O − species within solution. parallel adsorption model on antibiotic molecules verified, reaction pathway elucidated. This work provides optimizing performance photocatalysts, extended other oxide photocatalysts.
