In this study, copper (Cu)- and manganese (Mn)-based layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanosheets were produced by modest low-cost hydrothermal technique to display an improved photocatalytic performance toward the degradation of aqueous methylene blue (MB). The morphological structural properties as-prepared photocatalysts characterized through various techniques comprising XRD, FT-IR, SEM, EDS, their MB activity was evaluated under visible light irradiation. SEM results explore that synthesized LDH materials have a sheet-like morphology are stacked layer layer. Various analysis parameters, such as effect contact time, concentration pH solutions performed optimize fabricated materials. revealed as-synthesized CuAl-LDH MnAl-LDH exhibited 74.95 70.93% removal solar within 180 min. Moreover, showed excellent up four regeneration cycles. We believe study provides novel mechanistic insights into design preparation highly competent using materials, with applications in environmental remediation.
