Abstract In order to meet the demand for portable water and replenish depleting resources caused by industrialization, urbanization, population growth; wastewater purification has become crucial. Emerging contaminants (ECs), which include organic dyes, pesticides, pharmaceutical drugs, polyaromatic compounds, heavy metal ions, fertilizers, among others, have significant disruptions environmental balance severe health complications. As a result, considerable effort been devoted development of technologies that eliminate from effluents via adsorption, photocatalysis, other means. However, considering economic implications adopted technologies, green technology gained attention owing their eco-friendly approaches, cost-effectiveness, avoiding use toxic harmful chemicals production less-toxic by-products. Currently green-synthesized nanomaterials seen tremendous growth in emerging as sustainable nanoadsorbents, nanocatalysts removal highly efficient manner. Thus, this review presents an overview various techniques utilized treatment with particular emphasis on application environmentally friendly transition metal/metal oxide nanoparticles tools technology. This article also discusses limitations future potential using based advancing broad scale.

Abstract Pesticides production, consumption, and disposal around the world are raising concerns day by for their human environmental health impacts. Among developing treatment technologies, ozonation has attracted attention of many researchers in recent years. It is an emerging promising technology removing pesticides aqueous environment degrading residual from fruits vegetables (F&V) surfaces. This systematic review presents extensive study degradation different types F&V using ozonation, micro‐ nanobubble (MNB) or other advanced techniques such as microwaves/ultrasonication oxidation process. compiles studies that reported effect MNB size on dissolution ozone gas washing medium its F&V. The mechanism routes pesticide how integrating (MNBT) can help overcome economic losses, reduce issues consumers, save harmful chemicals used also discussed. article encourages development utilization MNBT not only agriculture, but aquaculture, fisheries, food industries, storage, packing, reducing/degrading foods support sustainability well improve international trade.
