ABSTRACT Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolites produced by various toxigenic fungi and widely present in food agricultural products, posing serious threats to safety human health. Effective removal of mycotoxin contamination from remains a critical challenge ensuring security. Emerging porous materials (PMs) have recently gained significant attention due their unique properties. Encouraging progress has been developed during the past five years mycotoxins using PMs. However, there is no review on emerging PMs, especially performance mechanism. Herein, this comprehensive summarizes recent research prevalent mycotoxins, such as aflatoxins, patulin, ochratoxin A, including metal‐organic frameworks derivatives, biochar, covalent organic frameworks. Additionally, highlights mechanisms underlying two primary methods, adsorption degradation, along with possible degradation pathways products mycotoxins. Given requirement regulatory consideration, risk assessment PM‐based method also discussed. Finally, specific challenges prospects associated industrial application PMs for explored. This provides valuable reference advancing technologies food, which great significance
