The ratiometric fluorescent probe UiO-OH@Tb, a zirconium-based MOF functionalized with Tb3+, was synthesized using hydrothermal method. This employs the fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) mechanism between Tb3+ and malachite green (MG) for double-inverse signal detection of MG. probe’s color shifts from lime to blue an increasing concentration In contrast, monometallic MOFs’ (UiO-OH) shows only quenching due inner filter effect (IFE) after interacting Additionally, composite (UiO-OH@Tb) exhibits superior sensitivity, limit (LOD) 0.19 μM, which is significantly lower than that MOFs (25 μM). Moreover, content MG can be detected on-site (LOD = 0.94 μM) RGB function smartphones. Hence, UiO-OH@Tb proven ideal material detection, demonstrating significant practical value in real-world applications.
