A novel multistage wastewater purification and conversion system (MWPCS) was designed to effectively remove convert water-soluble dinitrotoluene (DNT). The MWPCS comprises a unique configuration, including the U-shaped solar evaporator (U-SE) with white body, polyelectrolyte multilayer (PEM)-coated roof dome, catalytic filter. U-SE achieved DNT removal efficiency (RE) of 78.5%, constituting first stage purification. Upon integration PEM-coated RE increased 84.7%, representing second capability MWPCS. Additionally, filter facilitated toxic into valuable diaminotoluene (DAT) rate 94.2%, marking third body exhibited water evaporation 2.17 kg/m2 h, which decreased 1.37 h within dome. However, improved ventilation provided by dome holes, 1.85 h. high rate-based is anticipated be capable removing converting DNT.
