Abstract The discharge of oily wastewater can severely disrupt aquatic ecosystem balance and threaten drinking water safety. Although superwetting membrane separation technology has become an effective means to address wastewater, there are still major challenges in the treatment nano/submicron emulsions under specific conditions, such as high energy consumption, harsh concentration polarization. Herein, a novel preparation dual‐layer Janus‐structured nanofilament cellulose (JNC) aerogel photothermal evaporator is proposed that integrates solar‐assisted interfacial evaporation with oil‐water selective achieve function “coupled interception evaporation”. JNC fabricated using sequential bilayer gel molding strategy combined directional freeze‐drying form vertically ordered cellular network structure multi‐scale multi‐level crosslinking, precisely tunable hydrophilic hydrophobic layer thicknesses. as‐prepared possesses amphiphilicity, compressibility, excellent desalting efficiency, strong resistance acids alkalis. stably float on surface rate 2.86 kg (JNC)m −2 h −1 oil removal efficiency exceeding 99.97% for various oil‐in‐water emulsions. Additionally, emulsion mechanism investigated through classical molecular dynamics simulations. This work provides innovative approach designing efficient evaporators treating seawater.
