Calix[n]arenes, macrocycles constituted of 4-8 phenol moieties linked through methylene bridges, are stable molecules that can be selectively functionalised at the upper or lower rim. It has already been demonstrated calixarene derivatives biologically pharmacologically active compounds. More recently, suitably calixarenes and analogues (dihomooxacalixarenes, thiacalixarenes, calix[4]resorcinols, azacalixarenes, calixpyrroles, pillarenes) were found to act as anticancer agents, least in vitro assays. We reporting on latest progress this research field.

Abstract Life of the living organism is based on phosphorous, and it involved in almost all important biological biochemical processes such as energy transfer, bone development storing genetic information. Many therapeutic agents having C─P bond, isolated naturally well widely used daily clinical practices are phosphorus‐containing drugs (e.g: phosphotriesters, phosphonates, phosphinates, phosphine oxides, phosphoric amides, bisphosphonates, anhydrides, etc.) growing further. The phosphorus heterocycles (PHs) integrate merits both atom heterocyclic scaffolds representing an class organophosphorus compounds, which constantly drawing attention among industrial scientific society these compounds have shown varieties related applications. Owing to its seminal importance PHs inspired a whole generation medicinal chemists come up with novel containing phosphorous atom. This review focused mainly compilation different classes bioactive skeletons (which includes within ring system or substituted attached another system) other material chemistry applications since year 2000 onwards barring their synthetic routes.
