Abstract Objectives The current study aimed to investigate the structural and functional connectivity of subregions amygdala in children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) only or comorbid Oppositional Defiant (ODD). Methods A total 354 ADHD-only, 161 ADHD ODD (ADHD + ODD) 100 healthy controls were enrolled. Several rating scales filled out by caregivers. Analysis covariance (ANCOVA) was performed test group-wise differences these behavioral measures. subsample comprising 209 participants went through a resting-state MRI scan Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) scan. Functional calculated using bilateral Amygdala as seeds. Between-group voxel-wise comparisons conducted. Results group had more anxious/depressed moods, delinquent aggressive behaviors, emotional control problems, inhibition deficits than ADHD-only (all PBonferroni−corrected < 0.05). Compared groups, displayed increased FC strength between left caudate, putamen, frontal cortex. Regarding (SC), demonstrated higher streamline density internal capsule, corpus callosum, right superior corona radiata. altered SC associated problems ADHD, while other ADHD-related clinical features. Conclusions Altered compared their counterparts respectively problems. Clinical trial number not applicable
