Camellia meiocarpa Hu, a member of Youcha species in the genus Camellia, is an important woody edible plant with high ecological and economic value. The haplotype-resolved genome assembly this tetraploid can shed light on genomic evolution functional divergence among subgenomes haplotypes. In study, we achieved first chromosome-level using PacBio HiFi, Hi-C, Illumina sequencing. scaffolds, N50 44.46 Mb 41.40 Mb, were mapped to 60 chromosomes four distinct haplotypes, each unique transposon features. haplotypes varied length (2967.25 3041.66 Mb) contained 51,336 52,631 protein-coding genes, 99.4% which annotated. Non-coding RNAs repetitive elements identified across This comprehensive resource will enhance molecular genetic studies, aiding conservation utilization Youcha.
